Mitchelton Wines establishes a new benchmark in splendour for the Goulburn Valley with the imminent unveiling of our highly anticipated boutique Hotel and Day Spa - Designed by internationally renowned architecture and interior design firm Hecker Guthrie.
Set on the banks of the pristine Goulburn River and framed amidst an idyllic vista of rolling vineyards, pristine waterways and verdant native bushlands, the location lends a unique proposition in destination and design.
The striking new facility, with its natural stone and warm timber finishes, complements the existing Robin Boyd structures whilst paying homage to its rural location and Mitchelton’s wine producing background.
The Mitchelton Hotel's 58 rooms comprise 33sqm 'River' or 'Vineyard' view categories through to 57sqm suites.
Here, the tribute to the region and its landscape continues as guests are drawn instantly to the generous private terrace and panoramic views of the Goulburn River or Mitchelton Vineyard,
before reflecting on the details of the linen curtains, the timber journey, Bose sound system, in-room wine section and artwork by Travor Mein and David Band.
Featuring spacious rooms adorned with earthy tone, the hotel was designed to bare a relationship with its countryside setting and, in particular, the horse studs around Nagambie. The connection to its country roots is reflected in the artwork selected for the space, including specifically commissioned pieces by Melbourne photographer Trevor Mein.
For guests looking to immmerse themselves a little more in nature, there is ample opportunity to do so with strolls around the property or a ride on the Goulburn Explorer River Cruiser. Sun worshippers will feel at home on the pool-side terrace with the 20m infinity pool providing a perfect place to cool off. What more could you ask for? Perhaps just a glass of the winemakers finest.
