Something is Glowing at Mitchelton This June
Imagine arriving at dusk to find the estate lit by firelight, a glass of mulled wine in hand, the sound of live music drifting across the river, and a bonfire burning at the heart of it all. That’s exactly what we’re building for you this June.
We’re thrilled to announce Solstice Glow at the Riverside, a brand new winter festival at Mitchelton Winery, happening on Saturday 27 June 2026. It’s free to attend, open to all, and it’s our way of sharing the estate at its most magical: mid-winter, low light, the Goulburn River quietly doing its thing in the background.
Whether you’re local to Nagambie, making a day trip from Melbourne, or just looking for a reason to embrace the cold, this one’s for you.

So, what’s on?
The day runs from 2pm to 6pm, and the estate will be set up in zones so you can move between experiences at your own pace. Here’s a taste of what to expect:
The Bonfire. This is the centrepiece. A grand fire lit in the late afternoon, surrounded by hay bales and blankets, with the river behind it. Come here to warm up, slow down, and stay a while.
Live Music. Two acts across the day, an acoustic or folk set to ease you in through the afternoon, followed by a headline act as the light fades and the bonfire takes hold. Exactly the right soundtrack for a winter’s evening on the river.
The Fireside Bar. Set up in the Mitchelton caravan, the bar will be pouring Irish coffee and mulled wine as its hero serves, alongside our winter reds and a solid selection of non-alcoholic options. You’re going to want both hands around something warm.
Fireside Food. Hearty, hand-held winter food, cooked in or beside the fire. Details to come, but think: exactly what you’d want to eat on a cold afternoon outdoors.
The Makers Market. A curated selection of local artisan stalls from across the Goulburn Valley, think plants, gifting, jewellery, botanicals, and beautiful things made close to home. Stalls are positioned along the walk to the bonfire, so browsing is built right into the experience.
Kids are very welcome
This is genuinely a family day. We’ll have a dedicated Kids’ Fire station with s’mores kits, so the little ones can get in on the action too. Bring the whole crew.
We’ll see you by the fire
